Hi-Def San Francisco are doing some amazing things with their San Francisco Bay webcam :

time lapse ships videos
real time shipping map that uses AIS data
panoramic panoramas dawn moon night

How do these work ? It's as if they've turned a photo into a Google map and are using the Google map player to display it ? Can anyone do this ?

Unfortunate Christmas Tragedy: One dead in San Francisco Zoo mauling (Dec. 26 2007)

One person was killed and two were injured at the zoo on Christmas day.

Tatiana: Siberian tiger

A large tiger escaped and was later killed as it mauled a victim. Police are continuing to search the area for other possible victims. The zoo is closed today.

Unimpressive Journalism: Dvorak Censored (Sebastian Rupley, Burning Man)

The whole thing makes him squeamish, what a shock. Breasts flopping!
Now imagine him nude and doing his best to "burn...." No no no no no no stop.

For a journalist who's obviously never been anywhere near the event, he has some remarkably forceful opinions that seem to indicate he might be really out of place in the Bay Area. Hippy-dippy lovey-dovey what? How many graduates of the Haight Ashbury thing does he work with?

He and Dvorak gleefully "report" on the incident of the man arrested trying to burn the burning man. Rupley, believe it or not, seems actually joyful for a moment. Too bad it's the old lady buried deep down inside who's cackling. Stick to your core competencies, sir!

Buy some old lady glasses. Live it. Embrace it. Stare not at the flopping breasts.

You've found Break a Leg - The Sitcom, the award aspiring Internet sitcom brought to you by the acclaimed fans of Arrested Development, Scrubs, and The Office.
Break a Leg is the story of David Penn, a writer who just got his first sitcom deal. Groomates, his show about three ex-grooms living with their two ex-wives, replaces the previous hit, Swamblers – a rollicking story of gambling cowboy swingers roughing it in the Wild West, Swambler-style. The writer/creator died – which is good news for David, because now he gets his own show.

The show is the brain child of the Baranovsky brothers Yuri [David Penn] and Vlad, natives of the "deadly serious" city of Kiev.

Was that Nick Douglas they killed off recently? ~~I think so!~~ Confirmed!

Very cute, guys, but I miss the show, srsly.
What's up with the three month break? Whaaa!

We're working hard on getting it out soon. The next episode is a huge undertaking -- the biggest we've done or that any of you have seen. So, it's taking a bit longer than usual. You can check out some of the pictures and our progress on the site -- but the new one is coming, I promise!

Update: The Season Finale will air ~~June 30~~ starting July 7.

Unheard Radio: Brian Lehrer Series on Congestion Pricing (WNYC)
